Massimiliano Allegri has made a bold claim to his friends to signal move to Chelsea

The Daily Star says former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has told people close to him, that he is on his way to Chelsea as the Blues’ next head coach.

Chelsea are reportedly readying themselves to be told by current boss Maurizio Sarri that he is replacing Allegri at Juventus. The former Napoli head coach is not amused at the club’s failure to back him after the fans turned on him mid-way through the season as per Telegraph. Also, there are reports as captured by Football 365 that say Chelsea’s top brass are not fully convinced by the Italian and want to replace him after the Europa League final against Arsenal.

Although those concerns may have been allayed after the impressive performance of Chelsea in that final, Sarri wants to deliver the first blow. That may open the door for Allegri to occupy the hot seat at Stamford Bridge next season, and the Daily Star says he has already told friends of his imminent move to London.

Frank Lampard has also been penciled as a potential target for the Blues should their manager walk away this summer.
