How Gonzalo Higuain will play a huge role in Juventus landing Maurizio Sarri as next manager

Chelsea’s departing striker Gonzalo Higuain has a huge role to play in Maurizio Sarri joining Juventus in the coming days, and the player knows nothing about his contribution.

The Daily Mail quotes Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport as reporting that Juventus are ready to waive off a fair amount of the loan fee Chelsea still owe the Serie A club for Higuain, to cover for the compensation they must pay for Sarri to abrogate his contract.

Sarri is still under contract at Chelsea with his current deal set to expire in 2020 but the Italian champions’ interest in him means they have to pay £5 million for his release from the London club via the Telegraph. Gazzetta’s report suggests Juventus will waive £8 million off Higuain’s remaining fee, to convince the Blues to part ways with their head coach.

That means there will be no compensation to be paid for the former Napoli manager to move to Italy next summer.
