How five Chelsea youth players can earn their chance in the first team squad this month

Most players have only just gone on holiday after a long and gruelling season, but for five young Chelsea stars going to the U21 European Championships, this month will have some of the most important games of their careers.

Fikayo Tomori, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Jay Dasilva and Jake Clarke-Salter, who captains the team, will all be in action for England during their campaign, which starts tonight, and they all have uniquely good chances to earn a shot at the first team.

Chelsea not only have a transfer ban in place which gives each of them a unique good chance to feature in the squad next season, we are also seemingly set to appoint Frank Lampard as manager, someone who will pay attention to young players and maybe give them a chance.

You can count on the fact that the diligent Super Frank will be tuning in to the games over the next month for the perfect chance to assess some of his young players in competitive conditions.
