Chelsea add familiar face to list of potential Maurizio Sarri replacements

Steve Holland is on Chelsea’s shortlist in the hunt for a replacement for Maurizio Sarri, according to the Daily Mail.

As the report notes, Sarri is expected to jump ship and replace Massimiliano Allegri as manager of Juventus.

This would force Chelsea into their second managerial change in as many years, with the club now short on options.

The Daily Mail claim that Holland, who spent seven years in the Chelsea dugout, has emerged as a potential target.

Holland is currently part of Gareth Southgate’s coaching set up with the England national side.

Chelsea would presumably have to agree his departure with the FA if we were to push forward with our interest.

At this stage, though, we assume Holland is one of many coaches being considered by Chelsea.

He knows the club well and has more coaching experience than Frank Lampard. It’s certainly an avenue worth exploring.

What do you think, Blues?
