Chelsea could make a move for RB Leipzig head coach Ralf Rangnick despite the manager taking up a role with Red Bull as head of sports development.
The astute tactician has earned a reputation as one of the more forward-thinking coaches in Europe, preferring his teams would attack than sitting back and absorb pressure. Following the hiring of Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea are now looking at continue the style implemented by the former Napoli manager.
The Independent reported in 2016, following the departure of Sam Allardyce that the English FA were interested in signing Rangnick on as the head coach and the 60-year old later confirmed to Four Four Two that he had interviewed for the job.
After moving from Sporting Director at RB Leipzig to head coach, he’s now on his way to becoming the head of sports development of the parent company and will work closely with Brazilian club Bragantino and New York Red Bulls. But Chelsea want to tempt him with an offer to the Premier League according to the Daily Mail.
