Why this Chelsea player is excited for the damaging transfer ban

Tammy Abraham has been speaking about his own future and the transfer ban Chelsea have in place, and he seems positive about the whole thing.

While he understands it’s a blow to the club and the fans (not to mention the bloggers being starved of transfer rumours), he acknowledges that it will be a big benefit to him to have a chance to break into the first team that he might not have thought he’d get.

After breaking through in our youth team, he’s since struggled to ever get a shot in the first team. But with Gonzalo Higuain looking set to leave, Tammy may well finally get the opportunities he’s waited to patiently for.

The paper claims he’s ready to even cut short his holidays to get off to a good start with his new manager:

‘That’s how all the young players at the club are looking at it… ‘There is a great chance for us, so we must get our heads down in training and go for it,” the striker said.

We have a lot of faith in Tammy’s ability, he just needs the chance. Now it looks like he will finally get it.
