They say that Chelsea’s transfer ban means the club has to decide before the end of June on whether to take up their permanent option on making his loan a full time deal.
It will be very tempting for the club to make it happen. With Ruben Loftus-Cheek out injured, we lack depth in that position and with no ability to bring in players, we’d be mad not to take this option in many ways.
A lot of fans have been disappointed with his attacking contributions but the talent is clear and nobody is going to complain too much if we get the deal done.
It’s not an ideal situation to be in, but we only have ourselves to blame. Things like this transfer ban force us into making tough decisions.
