Chelsea have a master plan to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi and it involves a legend tipped to return to the club

Bayern Munich are still interested in signing Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer despite their overtures being rejected by the Blues earlier in the year plus the player picking up a long-term injury.

According to the Sun, Chelsea must brace themselves for a bid from the German Bundesliga giants who are still poised to capture Hudson-Odoi, but the Blues are also hoping to use one of the most iconic players to have graced the Stamford Bridge pitch once they sign him up to return to the club.

Frank Lampard is expected to take up the Chelsea job and replace Maurizio Sarri who only spent one season in England before departing to Juventus and the Bavarian Football Works insists there is a plan to use Lampard’s legend status at the club to convince the 18-year old to stay put and not try his luck in Germany.

Hudson-Odoi is reported to be in line to receive a £100,000-a-week deal that will keep him at the club until 2024, via the Sun.
