John Percy, the very reliable Midlands football reporter for the Telegraph, has just posted the following Tweet to send Chelsea fans into meltdown.

After days in which Maurizio Sarri’s exit has seemed secure, and Frank Lampard’s arrival inevitable, this has been something of a cat among the pigeons.
There’s all kinds of speculation about how true this is, but either way, it’s really thrown people off given how guaranteed the whole affair seemed not long ago.
Perhaps, as some have mentioned, a meeting between Frank and Chelsea concluded that he’s not ready. Percy says he remains a target for the Blues however, which adds confusion to the matter.
Other people have pointed out that this just may be a tactic from Derby owner Mel Morris to get things moving – pay up fast or risk paying double in a week.
Sarri’s move to Juventus still looks set to happen, so whatever the case with Lampard and his potential new contract, we should at least find out very soon.
