Chelsea have picked out Kurt Zouma as the man who they want to replace Gary Cahill at the club.
The captain has left his ship, and as well as needing to replace him in that role, whoever is in charge of deciding these things at the club will also find themselves tasked with finding a replacement for Cahill as the fourth choice central defender at the club.
Zouma comes off a great season on loan at Everton, and now the Sun say that Chelsea are convinced that he can be the man to back up and compete with Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and David Luiz next season.
The France international got his first goal for his country last night, and his comeback from the bad knee injury in 2015 seems almost complete. You won’t find many Blues fans complaining if indeed Zouma does stick around at the club next season. We’ve always been sure he has the quality to make the step up, once given the chance.
