Chelsea attacker could play vital role for Brazil alongside brilliant young talents

Willian came off the bench for Brazil as the hosts beat Bolivia 3-0 in the opening game of the Copa America.

The Brazilian winger was called up to the squad after an injury to Neymar on the eve of the tournament, and clearly isn’t first choice for Tite just yet. But this appearance off the bench shows that he’s still in his manager’s thinking.

Willian, blessed with the legendary number 10 shirt of his country was brought on to replace Richarlison of Everton in the second half as the Selecao finally got into gear.

They were booed off at the end of the first half, with expectations exceptionally high because of the team’s recent failures in this competition.

Because of that there’s a lot of pressure on the younger players in this talented side, and Willian is sure to play an important role as an experienced pro in helping his younger colleagues deal with the almost unmatched pressures of wearing the famous canary yellow.
