The figure that separates Chelsea and Real Madrid in talks over Eden Hazard

Chelsea and Real Madrid remain £26M apart in their valuations of Eden Hazard, according to Goal.

While we Chelsea fans prepare to wave goodbye to one of our greatest ever players, Marina Granovskaia is not prepared to loosen her grip on the Belgian.

It’s evident that Hazard had hoped for a swift resolution to this situation, but Chelsea’s financial demands look set to prevent that from happening.

Goal report that the two clubs remain £26M apart on Hazard, with Chelsea remaining insistent that he won’t be sold for anywhere below the £115M mark.

£26M is a hell of a lot of money for Real Madrid to cough up, even if it’s going to be a hefty transfer fee regardless of which club gets their way.

While it’s unlikely to stop the move from materialising, it’s enough to annoy both the player and Real Madrid, neither of whom we want to damage our relationship with.

Let’s wait and see what happens.
