Derby County have confirmed with a Tweet on their official Twitter feed that they have granted permission for Frank Lampard to discuss a move to Chelsea, following weeks of speculation.
Since Maurizio Sarri was given permission to move to Juventus last week, it’s been clear that we had someone in line to come and replace him.
The speculation has always been that it’s Lampard but his extended holiday in France has slowed the whole process down heavily.
Now he’s back in England, it seems the wheels can start turning for this move, and it won’t be long before we see Frank on the touchline at Stamford Bridge.

With a transfer ban in place he’s got his work cut out from the moment he arrives, but we’ve not seen Frank fail at too many things that he’s set his mind to, and we’re not expecting him to start now.
