A report by Football London has claimed that Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira is the second favourite with the bookies to land the Chelsea job this summer.
As speculation surrounding Maurizio Sarri intensifies by the day, the search for a new manager could soon be underway at Stamford Bridge.
While it could well be one of our own club legends taking the hot seat in the shape of Frank Lampard, he’s not the only man linked.
Football London report that Vieira is 7/2 to get the Chelsea job with the bookies, which makes him the second favourite behind Lampard.
Vieira has done a superb job at Nice, but like Lampard is yet to be given the top level experience usually associated with a Chelsea manager.
We have exhausted our options at this point, though. Sarri was somewhat of a wildcard appointment, and his successor almost certainly will be.
Whether it’ll be Vieira, Lampard, or anyone else, we’ll just have to wait and see…
