Sky Sports has claimed that Chelsea will bring Petr Cech back to the club as sporting director this summer, but as part of breaking that news, they’ve revealed that there is growing interest Italy for signing up Maurizio Sarri.
We’d already heard there is interest from Juventus, but they name other clubs.
Interestingly, they say that Chelsea are happy with Sarri, and only looking to replace him if he leaves.
Previously it had been more hinted that the board were looking to push Sarri out and get Frank Lampard in. That doesn’t seem to be how they phrased it here, at all. They say we’re happy with him and he will have to “clamour” for a move.
