“I think they will target two Crystal Palace players” – Former Chelsea forward names Blues targets for the season

In an interesting article which actually is focused on the idea that Chelsea might try and sign Antoine Griezmann, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has given some more unorthodox transfer tips.

Speaking in quotes picked up by Goal.com, the Dutch striker was enthusiastically banging the drum for two signings that he thought the Blues would target if they are not hit with a transfer ban.

He claims that it’s two players from across London that the Blues will be chasing this summer:

“If Chelsea don’t have a transfer ban, I think they’ll target two Palace players,” he told the football news site.

“Firstly, Aaron Wan-Bissaka can push Cesar Azpilicueta for a starting place and will learn a lot from him. He’s a very good right-back, and can defend very well. And then Wilfried Zaha brings the excitement. If Eden Hazard goes, you need somebody to take players on.”

Those are two moves that Chelsea fans would absolutely desperately love to see. Wann-Bissaka is young, homegrown and looks to have all the tools to be a really top class right back already. The only question mark would be over blocking the path for Reece James to the first team.

Secondly, while Zaha would be the perfect Hazard replacement in terms of being an electric dribbler, he’s going to cost astronomical money, and we can’t see the club paying up at this stage.
