The figure Juventus will have to pay Chelsea to poach Maurizio Sarri this summer

Football Italia are yet another publication who are under the impression Maurizio Sarri is close to Juventus, and they claim to know the potential compensation figure.

With Sarri joining Chelsea last summer on a two-year deal with the option for a third, he will not be allowed to walk out the Stamford Bridge exit door on a free this summer.

Instead, Juventus, or any other interested party, will have to essentially pay off the remaining time that’s left to run on the contract he penned in July last year.

According to Football Italia, that figure stands at just €5M. That’s all Juventus would have to pay Chelsea in order to steal one of the most revolutionary managers in football.

This one will likely come down to whether Chelsea deem Sarri’s work throughout the season as adequate following the Europa League final. He has always appeared happy to stay.

A third-place finish and a European title would be a brilliant debut season for any manager. We’d be playing a dangerous game letting Sarri go after what he’s achieved this term.
