The bizarre way that Chelsea could lineup under Frank Lampard next season

The Sun have had a punt at predicting how Chelsea could lineup under the stewardship of Frank Lampard – and it’s safe to say that the team they’ve picked would see us relegated.

Even with Eden Hazard’s future uncertain, Chelsea’s squad remains strong, perhaps stronger than Chelsea fans have given credit for throughout what has been an arduous campaign.

We’ve invested hundreds of millions of pounds into the squad, yet The Sun believe that a change of management could see us put out a team shaping up somewhat like this.

First of all, Jay Dasilva is a left-back, with Cesar Azpilicueta’s natural position being on the right. Lord only knows why The Sun have swapped the pair and stuck them both out of position.

The midfield also looks incredibly flimsy, with our attack devoid of the sort of quality we have come to expect from a Chelsea front free. We’ve been spoilt by Eden over the years.

The only real positive if we were to field this side is that we would be giving our younger players a chance to shine. That’s part of Lampard’s managerial ethos, which makes him an attractive option.

What do you think, Blues?
