“We have to respect his decision” – Chelsea player makes comments to signal Eden Hazard is all but gone

Chelsea are expecting a tough summer with one of their best players in the last decade gone for good. Eden Hazard is set to depart to Real Madrid and if there were doubts, Cesar Azpilicueta’s comments seem to confirm his departure.

The Belgium captain has been rumored to have agreed to join Los Blancos after the end of this season, with Daily Mail even saying the deal to Real will be announced after the Europa League final. Since Zinedine Zidane returned to the Real dugout, rumours of Hazard’s move to Real has intensified and culminated with the Spanish giant’s current problems on the pitch, the Chelsea star will be a significant improvement on their attack.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s transfer ban imposed by FIFA that restricts them from making any signings this season threatens to obstruct the success of the deal, but Azpilicueta has said his teammates and the fans must ‘respect’ Hazard’s decision to leave.

“Obviously Eden is a very important player for us. We arrived here at the same time and obviously we want him to stay with us – but we have to respect his decision.

He is a Chelsea player and his mind is only doing well with Chelsea and on lifting the trophy in Baku – and then we will see.”
