Pedro explains why there could be goals in Europa League final

Yahoo Sport have some interesting quotes from Pedro today on the Europa League final coming up next week.

The Spaniard is one of the most experienced players in the Chelsea dressing room in this type of situations, having won it all with Barcelona before.

He predicts a final with goals, for the following reasons:

“Maybe it will be open because Arsenal press really high, play good football and also for us it is the same ideas and style. I think it will be an open game.”

We hope he’s right. We fear that in such a weird game, so far away, both teams might be a little cagey, especially to begin with. The absence of Ruben Loftus-Cheek also takes away a huge amount of Chelsea’s goal threat from midfield.

So let’s hope our Spanish winger is right, and we get an exciting game to entertain the few Blues who do make it out to Azerbaijan. A tense game is what he specialise in when it comes to European finals, maybe we can make this one a little more fun for the neutral.
