Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri requests €65M-€70M striker – and it’s clear to see why

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly campaigned for the club to recruit Eintracht Frankfurt forward Luka Jovic if the transfer ban is lifted.

This information comes from Alfredo Pedulla, who became notorious in the summer for his continual reporting on matters relating to Maurizio Sarri.

He fired a fair few blanks, but he got the one that mattered right – Sarri was appointed, eventually, and in the Chelsea hotseat he remains.

A report by Pedulla, published before yesterday’s game, claimed that Sarri had already spoken of the possibility of signing Jovic for Chelsea.

The asking price, per the report, would fall somewhere in the region of €65-70M, a fair price to pay for a player of his quality and potential.

Sarri’s desire for Jovic will only have increased following his superb header which gave Eintracht the lead on Thursday night. It was a superb finish.

If the reported price is accurate, it’d be a relatively small price to pay for a player who could fill the spot at the spearhead of our attack for years to come.

Of course, any potential deal hinges on whether our transfer ban is lifted, but in the event that it is, Marina ought to be straight on the phone to his agent.
