‘It’s going to take him to an early grave’ – Arsenal legend gets excited as Sarri loses his temper

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown is not at all impressed with the way Maurizio Sarri conducted himself in Chelsea training yesterday.

The Blues held an open training session the night before the Europa League final, with Sarri naively being caught on camera kicking his cap in rage.

This will have offered encouragement to anyone with any affiliation to Arsenal ahead of the big game tonight, including Keown.

Whether Sarri’s actions are anything like a big deal is not clear, you wouldn’t know unless you were in the Chelsea dressing room.

However, Keown appears to have been spurred on by the incident, as he’s adamant to turn it into a more significant problem than it actually is.

He’s quoted by the Express saying:

“It’s going to take him to an early grave. I think this is where he’s very wrong, the manager.”

“No one knew there was anything particularly wrong until he acted like that. He’s a little bit too emotional. He either loves [his players] or he hates them. He has to be sort of middle ground as the manager.”

“If he’s going to continue in that job, it’s going to take him to an early grave because those players will test you.”

While no Chelsea fan was happy to see this happen so close to the final, to suggest that it’s going to send Sarri to the grave is a little over the top.

Who can blame Keown for thinking it’s advantage Arsenal, though. He’s welcome to think that, but we’ll prove him wrong in the end.
