‘We will go out there and fight’ – Chelsea hero relishing Europa League final battle

Kepa Arrizabalaga has assured Chelsea fans that the players are going to fight for the Europa League trophy on Wednesday night.

The time has almost come for Chelsea to take to the turf in Baku and battle London rivals Arsenal to be champions of Europe’s second string competition.

Though it is incomparable to the significance of Tottenham vs. Liverpool in Madrid, we’re still going to be jubilant if we win, and utterly crushed if we don’t.

The players need to understand that preventing Arsenal from qualifying for the Champions League means as much to us as the trophy. They need to win it, at all costs.

Kepa, who played a huge role in Chelsea getting to this stage of the competition, is insistent that they will. The Spaniard is quoted by the club’s website saying:

“Both the fans and the players are relishing this match. It’s going to be another very difficult game, and a derby and a final, so anything could happen. We are going to train for every eventuality and we will go out there and fight for the title.”

There’s always the possibility this match will come down to a penalty shootout as well. After our win over Frankfurt, we’d fancy our chances with Kepa between the sticks.
