“It looks like it is the last match in blue” – Jose Mourinho believes Chelsea star is set to depart

Jose Mourinho has spoken out the situation surrounding Eden Hazard at Chelsea, revealing his belief that the Europa League final will be his final game for the club.

Though Hazard showed flashes of brilliance during his debut season as a Chelsea player, he struggled to produce on a consistent basis under the stewardship of Rafa Benitez.

It was a completely different story once Mourinho came along. Hazard established himself as Chelsea’s and the Premier League’s, star performer. The rest is history.

Mourinho and Hazard had a great relationship during The Special One’s time at Stamford Bridge, and he’s now spoken out about the future of his former talisman.

Mourinho is quoted by Sky Sports News saying:

“It looks like it is the last match in blue for Eden Hazard.

“He is a player that was crucial for Chelsea’s success in this last generation and Eden also will try to be what he is the majority of the time – a fantastic player on the pitch.”

“He will want to win and possibly go to Real Madrid with a last trophy for Chelsea.”

It’s unclear if Mourinho is basing this off what he’s read in the media, or he has the inside track having managed both Chelsea and Real Madrid in the past.

Either way, he’s absolutely right in saying that Hazard will want to go out with a winners’ medal round his neck. It’d be a fitting way to end a glittering Chelsea career.
