Irreplaceable Eden Hazard takes more than assists with him to Real Madrid

Eden Hazard is reportedly on his way out of Chelsea to Real Madrid next summer and the real effect of his departure is yet to hit the London club.

Having registered two assists in Chelsea’s win over Watford on Sunday, Hazard was confirmed as the best playmaker in Europe’s top five leagues, with 15 assists. His total contributions to goals this campaign has been a staggering 31, with 16 goals as well in the league alone.

His presence makes Chelsea a more feared side and along with him, when he leaves for Madrid, will go his his immense influence on the attack. This season, the Blues have scored 62 goals in the Premier League and Hazard has contributed to exactly half of them. His goals plus assists have been important for his team and they know it.

The likes of newcomer Christian Pulisic, Pedro and Willian if they both stay, and Callum Hudson-Odoi will be tasked with getting Sarri’s side going against tough defenses and they must step up, or Chelsea will find life impossible next season.
