Ruben Loftus-Cheek has just gone off injured not long after coming on for Chelsea in a friendly, and Twitter has predictably absolutely exploded.
The fact that we are playing a pointless game in America in the middle of the season is bad. The fact that it’s on NOT EVEN REAL GRASS is just appalling.
The insurers shouldn’t even be letting someone as fragile as Ruben play on that pitch, let alone his manager. The fact that this whole thing was set up by the club’s owner, who may now see his team miss out on a trophy because he got his priorities wrong, is really galling.
Chelsea fans, as you might expect, went off totally online.
