Chelsea’s hefty asking price revealed as Real Madrid circle around talisman

Chelsea’s asking price for Eden Hazard has been revealed by Standard Sport with Real Madrid yet to bow to the Blues’ hefty demands.

Even if Hazard still has the Europa League final to focus on at Chelsea, you have to think that Real Madrid could have already had this signing in the bag if they so wished.

Los Blancos have immense financial firepower, with Chelsea being forced into a weakened stance over Hazard with the Belgian set to enter the final year of his contract.

A similar situation last summer saw Real Madrid land Thibaut Courtois for what the Mirror reported to be £35M, considerably less than his actual market value.

While Chelsea cannot demand a Neymar or Kylian Mbappe level figure for Hazard due to his precarious contract situation, Marina Granovskaia is still standing firm.

Standard Sport believe that our asking price stands at over £100M, which is gigantuous for a player who could sign a pre-contract agreement in just over seven months time.

If Zinedine Zidane is as keen on Hazard as the report suggests, however, then Florentino Perez could be forced to pay a nine-figure sum to Chelsea to sign the Belgium skipper.
