Chelsea target offers Blues major encouragement by revealing Premier League desire

To all Chelsea fans who are hoping to see Luka Jovic sign for us this summer – we have some good news for you.

As Football London report, Chelsea have been mentioned as potential suitor for the Eintracht Frankfurt striker, who scored 25 goals this season.

Two of those came in each leg of our Europa League semi-final clash with the German side. He showed us exactly what he can do in the flesh.

If Jovic can perform to that level against a team which secured a third-place finish in the Premier League, you wonder how many he could score in a 38 games season.

We may well find out one day, as Jovic has just revealed his desire to play in either England or Italy. He’s quoted by German publication Die Welt saying:

“From my experience in the Europa League, I would say that some other leagues in Europe are more suited to me and my way of playing football.”

“In terms of the physique, the Bundesliga is very demanding, but after the games against Chelsea or Inter Milan, I personally had the feeling that I could feel even better [playing] in the Premier League or Serie A.”

Jovic would be the answer to all of our problems in attack, the only issue he can’t solve is our transfer ban, which could prevent him from joining.

If we can’t sign anyone this summer, and subsequently see another interested party land Jovic, it’ll be incredibly hard to stomach. We’ll see.
