Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante suffered a potentially serious knee injury during training on Saturday, according to claims on Twitter.
Reports of a training injury to one of our star performers initially emerged from Frank Khalid, who is known for having close links to several of the first-team squad.
Sad news isn’t anything about Eden Hazard. It’s about an injury in training to one of our main players. Hopefully he will be ok for Wednesday but it was the last thing I wanted to hear!!!

Khalid stopped short of naming names, but it didn’t take long for the news to filter out from another Twitter personality who tends to be in-the-know at Cobham.
@CarefreeYouth has shared his understanding of the situation, which is that it was Kante who suffered an injury to his knee… and it could be a serious one.

It’s not unusual for clubs to play their cards close to their chest ahead of important games, with Chelsea facing Arsenal in the Europa League final this coming Wednesday.
That could be why we’ve had no official confirmation of an injury to Kante, or if we’re being hopeful, this could just be a whole load of fake news.
We’ll have to wait and see. Keep your fingers crossed.
