Chelsea circle £25m rated attacker as possible cut price Hazard replacement

Hakim Ziyech is not a player Chelsea have been linked with with, but he certainly is someone we should be thinking about right now.

The BBC today reported that the Ajax attacker will leave this summer, as the Dutch club cash in on their incredible Champions League run.

That kind of announcement is designed to build a market for the youngster, and there’s no doubt there’s going to be plenty of interest in him – not least possibly from Chelsea, who will look to replace Eden Hazard with a similar mercurial talent.

The 26 year old Moroccan has so far failed to live up to his obvious talent in his career up till not, but bigger clubs will be hoping that his starring role in the Champions League this summer signals that he’s now ready to take a step up to the elite.

The Daily Mail report that he has a release clause of just £25m, which makes him incredibly tempting for any club looking to gamble on a dangerous attacker. Whether he will fit into Chelsea’s plans however, remains to be seen.
