British tabloid invent crazy Pogba-Sarri rumour with Juve linked

Maurizio Sarri is apparently keen on signing Paul Pogba if the Italian coach is hired by Juventus, say the Sun.

That’s the kind of mad rumour that this time of year brings around. You’ve got a player on a massive contract at one club, and a manager still managing another, and they’re both being linked with a simultaneous move to a third club.

Still, if you’re trying to get clicks, it must be pretty effective. You tempt in Chelsea fans curious about their manager’s future, Man U fans who want to know what’s going to happen with Pogba, and Juve fans looking into who Max Allegri’s replacement will be.

But at this stage, it’s all just nonsense. So many pieces would have to fall into place, starting with Juve buying Sarri out of his contract at Chelsea. Why on earth would they do they when they know we’re odds on to sack him within a year?

Instead, they can bide their time, and see what this fluid summer market throws up.
