Chelsea have been linked with all manner of players now that it looks like Eden Hazard is leaving, but this has to be one of the least inspiring.
The Blues should be looking at top tier players if they want to even come close to replicating what the Belgian has done over the course of 7 years, so the fact that they’ve been linked with Denis Suarez seems very fishy.
Spanish paper Sport, close to Barcelona who own Suarez, say that Maurizio Sarri was interested in the attacker when he managed Napoli.
They go on to say that means that Chelsea are a “door that could open” for a possible transfer. Suarez was on loan at Arsenal these last 6 months and barely featured, having played little in a patchy career on various loans so far.
We’d imagine this is just his agent trying to drum up some attention. Even our board aren’t this stupid.
