Jorginho has received his fair share of criticism from the Chelsea faithful this term, but much of it has been entirely unjustified.
The Italian has become a scapegoat for those who oppose Maurizio Sarri’s reign in the Chelsea hotseat. He’s the teacher’s pet, having been brought over from Napoli with our manager.
It would be unwise to criticise him based on circumstances beyond his control, however, Jorginho should be judged solely on his performances on the field of play in a Chelsea shirt.
If he was assessed in this manner, in accordance to Chelsea fans’ treatment of the rest of the squad, he would have far less opposition within the fanbase than he currently does.

Just take a look at this video shared on Twitter by @CFCMussa. It’s clear evidence that Jorginho has an, often overlooked, expansive passing range, but is let down by his teammates.

A player who can provide service as quality as Jorginho can produce should not be sitting on zero Premier League assists after this many games played.
We need to stop seeing Jorginho as the problem, rather a potential solution.
