Chelsea U19s reached the final of the UEFA Youth League on Friday, and it’s safe to say that Callum Hudson-Odoi enjoyed it.
Our youngsters have a quite incredible record in the competition, having either won it or been runners up in every single season they have competed in it.
They defeated Barcelona in a penalty shootout to reach the final of this year’s competition, following a brilliant penalty save from Karlo Zieger.

Hudson-Odoi, being just 18, is good friends with much of the squad which won against Barca, and was nervously watching the shootout unfold.

It’s incredible to think that Hudson-Odoi, who has been one of the players of the season in the Europa League, could have been competing at U19 level.
It’s testament to both his quality and maturity in comparison to his counterparts at that age, but it’s good to see that he’s still keeping one eye on their progress.
