As anticipated, Eden Hazard has been nominated for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.
That just goes to show the esteem his colleagues hold him in.
Chelsea Twitter went wild, predictably, when the news was confirmed – especially when it was noted that he was the only non Liverpool or Man City player involved.
They also loved that Mo Salah missed out.
It doesn’t look like he’ll win it, but by God he deserves to be nominated, and a top 3 finish is definitely on the cards. Fans on Twitter also noted his continued success in this category in his career, both in England and France.
You can see a selection of the reaction here:
Eden Hazard is the only player not from Manchester City or Liverpool to be shortlisted for the PFA player of the year award.
I'm sorry but that's amazing as City and Liverpool have excellent squads and Hazard is 5th/6th
