‘Pain everywhere’ – Chelsea star left black and blue after Europa League battering

Can we PLEASE get some protection for Eden Hazard? It’s nothing short of remarkable how the little Belgian stays fit throughout the course of the season.

Hazard is renown for being one of the most fouled players in football. Oftentimes bringing him to the turf is the only way to ensure the threat of danger has been snuffed out – he’s that good.

Slavia Prague, who had committed 40 more fouls than any other team in the Europa League heading into last night’s contest, were not prepared to let Hazard leave the stadium in fully working order.

Have a look at this picture of the bottom of Eden’s sock during the game last night. You wonder how often he’s left in this state by the opposing team’s inability to tackle cleanly.

Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur posted on Twitter that, while Hazard did not suffer any serious damage against Slavia, he did have “pain everywhere”. He needs to put his feet up and recover today.
