The one statistical area which lost Chelsea the game against Liverpool

Chelsea fell to defeat against Liverpool yesterday thanks to two really impressive goals from the Reds.

Apart from those two moments, we really competed in the game. We had far less possession in the first half, but threatened on the break regularly. We were relatively defensively untroubled by Liverpool’s best efforts.

It was the same story in the second half, bar their two moments of brilliance for the goals. But there was one thing we were really lacking, and that was creativity in the final third.

Throughout the team, Willian made two key passes, Luiz, Emerson and Kante one each. That was it for the whole team. Liverpool’s team had a total of 13 by the end of the game.

That final third we just didn’t have the creative edge to hurt our opposition.
