One stat in Maurizio Sarri’s era that spells danger for his future at Chelsea

Chelsea have been known to be brutal in their matches against the big clubs in England, or even in Europe. They live for the big games and their performances are evidence of that over the years since Roman Abramovich took charge as owner in 2003.

However, in the last few months, the statistics have been worrying for anyone in the Chelsea fraternity. The Blues are looking shockingly bad in big games, mostly away from home, so much that, the fear factor about them seems gone.

As per Sky Sports’ statistics account on Twitter, @SkySportsStatto, Chelsea have lost each of their last six away games to the rest of the top six clubs in the Premier League.

The stats are very distressing and will raise concerns about Chelsea’s ambitions going forward. Have we become a club content to lose big games and clamor for points with the relatively smaller clubs? Sarri must know the answer. And more importantly, he must change that record before the end of the season, or risk losing his job.
