Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has insisted that the Blues are NOT the favourites to win the Europa League, despite us brushing aside everyone in our path thus far.
We’re not going to sit here and delude ourselves into thinking that Chelsea have had a tough time in the competition to this stage. In truth, we have had the luck of the draw.
That said, you can only beat what’s in front of you, and Chelsea have done so – convincingly. It’s for that reason that we find ourselves in the semi-finals.
Kante, who has made eight appearances in the competition this season, has attempted to play down claims that we are firm favourites to win the whole thing, however.
Kante is quoted by Football London saying:
“We’re not favourites. We played a good match tonight and we will do all we can to get to the final. But we’re not favourites.”

It’s certainly a strange one. This could just be another case of Kante being characteristically humble. He’s not one to speak publicly about his, nor his teams, quality.
But, forgive us for being a little discontented with a Chelsea player who doesn’t believe that we’re better than ARSENAL. What’s that all about?
