Eden Hazard nominated for Players’ Player of the Year

Eden Hazard has been nominated for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

It was confirmation of something we were already pretty certain of, that the Belgian has had one of the best seasons of any player in Europe.

His colleagues clearly agree, and they’ve nominated him alongside some seriously big names.

In fact, Hazard is the only player not from Liverpool and Man City on the list. That just goes to show what an exceptional year he’s had.

Hazard faces a really tough test to win the thing, given that Virgil Van Dijk and Raheem Sterling have been favourites for months. In the end it’s likely to go to one of them, or perhaps one of their title chasing colleagues, whereas Hazard’s team has let him down a little on that front.

Still, it’s a great achievement to be nominated, and if this is his last season in this country, it’s a good way to remember him.

Now let’s hope for some stunning showings in these last few weeks to really cap it off!
