Chelsea midfield star wanted by Serie A giants in permanent transfer deal

Barely eight months after Chelsea shipped off Tiemoue Bakayoko to AC Milan on a season-long loan deal, the Italian giants have seen enough from him to want to enter talks with Chelsea over a permanent deal, according to CalcioMercato.

The Blues were confident making the French star leave Stamford Bridge last summer was the right move after he failed in his maiden season at the club. He struggled in the last few months to get game time under Antonio Conte following a string of bad performances in the blue shirt.

However, his days in Milan have been a sharp contrast, He has made 37 appearances for Genaro Gattuso’s side this campaign and has impressed the Rossoneri top hierarchy. His form has improved over the weeks with Gattuso trusting him more even in crucial games as they chase Champions League spots.

They now want to sign the former AS Monaco midfielder on a permanent basis and expect Chelsea’s negotiators to demand a release clause activation as per Calciomercato’s report.
