Ex-Chelsea star rubbishes Tottenham’s trophy hopes in public Twitter feud

Cesc Fabregas has absolutely destroyed Tottenham great Graham Roberts during a (pretty unnecessary) public Twitter feud.

Fabregas has never been one to shy away from sharing his opinion on social media. He is one of the most active of those still competing in the professional game.

He may well have already paved his own path into punditry when he does decide to hang up his boots, but there may be a little awkwardness if he’s put on a panel next to Graham Roberts.

Roberts, who made over 200 appearances for Spurs in the 1980s, decided to take a dig at Fabregas for the amount of game-time he’s been getting at Monaco.

Fabregas, clearly annoyed by the comment, fired back, taking aim at Tottenham’s trophy hopes for this season – claiming that they don’t have any at all!

There’ll be those who argue that Cesc ought to stay off Twitter and help ensure that Monaco are not relegated to the second division in France.

However, if he’s only logging online to take the mickey out of Tottenham, we’re all for it.
