Former Chelsea midfielder could be handed Premier League return by Arsenal or Liverpool

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing former Chelsea midfielder Thorgan Hazard, according to a report published by The Sun.

Chelsea fans have always felt inclined to keep one eye on Thorgan. Not only because of his brother’s significance, but also because we felt he could return.

The statement which Chelsea released on the club’s official website following Thorgan’s departure revealed that the club had managed to negotiate a buy-back clause.

With Thorgan improving season after season at Gladbach, we wondered if he could come back to Stamford Bridge and play for us one day.

While a second opportunity in the Premier League could be on the cards for Thorgan, it doesn’t look as though there’s much chance of it being at Chelsea.

The Sun claim that both Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in the Belgian, who is almost certain to leave Gladbach in the summer transfer window.

There’s no suggestion that Chelsea could enter the race and blow either party out of the water. Seeing another talented player we let go succeed with a rival would be hard to stomach.
