Callum Hudson-Odoi has provided an assist for Ross Barkley during his first ever start for the senior England national team.
Hudson-Odoi, who was heavily involved throughout the first-half in Montenegro, showed great positivity and confidence by cutting in from the left-hand-side.
His effort looked as though it was heading just beyond the post, but thankfully Barkley was on hand to put it past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

At first glance it looked as though Barkley nicked it off him. We were about to get the first flight to Montenegro and clock him for his greediness!

Thankfully, it turns out Barkley was absolutely right to intervene and direct it into the goal. It’s great stuff from him, as it was from his Chelsea teammate.
It’s great to see Chelsea making the difference for England on the field of play – just like old times. Long may it continue!
