It’s the international break, so there’s no club football to talk about, and until England’s game tomorrow night all the chat has been about the players Gareth Southgate called up.
One of those was Callum Hudson-Odoi, and on Sky Sports’ debate show they were pretty unanimous (despite the name) that the chance hadn’t come too soon. They both said that, despite him not having ANY Premier League starts to his name, the time is right, and that in Chelsea training he’s already getting experience of playing with the very best in the world.
Bayern were willing to spend big money on him, let’s not forget that. That probably means he’s ready for a ten minute cameo in a Three Lions shirt.
