After Chelsea’s loss to Everton was probably not a great time to ask a pundit a question if you wanted a positive view on the future of the club.
Jamie Redknapp was asked what he thought the future held for the Blues after their defeat to the Merseysiders, and looking down the list of loanees who might come in, he was hardly bursting with optimism.
The former England midfielder certainly has a good opinion of Mason Mount – but himself admitted that the youngster was at least a year off being ready for regular first team action at the club.
As for the rest of them… Reece James is talented but raw, Chris Pulisic has been up and down all season… it’s a tricky situation, that’s for sure.
