Chelsea are reliant on Eden Hazard, this is hardly breaking news.
It’s why every report linking Hazard with the exit door is met with such contempt by the Chelsea faithful, him leaving is a possibility that none of us wish to entertain.
Time and time again, with Chelsea up against it, Hazard has stepped up and delivered a defining moment. He did it once again today against Wolves.
Though Hazard has been off the boil over the past couple of weeks, today’s goal means that this is his outright most productive campaign in a Chelsea shirt.
His numbers are so impressive, in fact, that they dwarf those produced by his teammates, meaning that he has contributed to almost HALF our league goals this season.
Chelsea have scored 50 goals in the Premier League.

That is, quite frankly, unsustainable. To rely on one player so heavily is not healthy and is only going to lead to disaster if said player was to walk out the exit door.
On one hand we take these numbers as proof of Hazard’s world-class ability, but we can’t ignore the potential repercussions if his teammates don’t step it up.
