Zindeine Zidane will be announced as Real Madrid manager within 24 hours, according to reliable reports in Spain.
That’s pretty devastating news for a lot of Chelsea fans, who are convinced that the Frenchman has only made a shock return to Real because he has been promised the players he wants – including Eden Hazard.
That would be truly devastating for this side.
It's now clear to me that Zidane left because the board were not willing to give him whatever he wanted in terms of signings/departures. That has changed now.

Chelsea fans on social media are obviously reacting strongly to the whole episode, with some giving up on the hope of having the Belgian stay.

The fact that we have a transfer bans adds a horrifying scenario, that some are considering likely right now. That Eden goes, and we can’t afford to replace him.

Zidane back at Real Madrid is not good news for us. Hazard will be all the more eager to join them.

Even with the transfer ban coming, there is almost no way #CFC holds on to Hazard and lets him go for free. Good news for the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic next season if the ban stays in place this summer, but bad news for a team that needs Hazard greatly.
