Chelsea have done extremely well at holding on to the ball this season. That is just a fact. The Blues have the third most possession of any team in Europe, and as you can see in the table below, they rank above some pretty impressive sides.
The problem Chelsea have have with this is that it’s not translating to shots. It goes sideways all too often they claim, and it seems like they may have a point if you compare our possession numbers with our shot numbers.

Napoli aren’t even in the top 10 for possession and they manage more shots per game than us. No team has more of the ball with fewer shots, and it seems the fans are getting tired of it!
