Chelsea were defeated 2-0 by Everton at Goodison Park, with the Blues’ hopes of finishing inside the top four taking a huge dent.
We knew heading into this game that only three points would do in our efforts to get back into the top four. We were in a commanding position ahead of our clash with Wolves, but we’ve taken just one point from two extremely winnable fixtures.
Chelsea dominated the entire first-half, having over 60% possession and taking ten shots at Jordan Pickford’s goal. It was all a bit predictable, though, and Richarlison’s second-half goal could have been seen coming a mile off by anyone who’s seen us this season.
Gylfi Sigurdsson’s goal on the rebound, having seen his penalty saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga, confirmed that Everton were taking all three points from this game, which leaves Chelsea, and Maurizio Sarri in particular, in a difficult position.
The players simply were not at the races today, and as you may expect, very few have escaped the wrath of the Chelsea Twitter mob. Here’s every player rated with a single tweet.
Unlucky Kepa as he saves Sigurdssons penalty only for the Everton man to score on the rebound

Azpilicueta is absolutely shocking. Might be worse than Alonso.

Only thing Sarri can be blamed for is starting Alonso and Rudiger. He can't change much except that. Our defence is just woeful and we don't have any sort of luck.

Why does David Luiz play for Chelsea still

That Jorginho one-time ball to Higuaín is becoming a thing of beauty.

Kante has been shocking.

The biggest cheer of the season at Goodison, as Ross Barkley mis-kicks a cross.

That play sums up Pedro now. He’s not as good as he used to be

And onto the subs…
Giroud and Loftus-Cheek getting stripped on the sidelines. Control yourselves, ladies, they’re getting ready to come on.

Hudson-Odoi is easily a £60m player in this modern era, and yet the manager treats him like he's some sort of ordinary talent that needs to be eased into difficulty when he was literally born ready.
